BBCode image examples

Replace the example link with your own after uploading. The uploader fills these in for you.

Image only
[img]https://imgsharehub.com/i/a1b2c3.webp[/img]

Shows the image in your post. Works on almost every forum.

Image that links to the full-size page
[url=https://imgsharehub.com/a1b2c3][img]https://imgsharehub.com/i/a1b2c3.webp[/img][/url]

Readers can click the image to open it on its own page. This is what the uploader gives you by default.

Image with a set width (phpBB 3.3+, XenForo)
[img width="600"]https://imgsharehub.com/i/a1b2c3.webp[/img]

Keeps wide screenshots from stretching the thread. Forums that don't support the width option show the image at full size or ignore the tag.

Forum signature

Paste into your signature settings. Check your forum's signature size limits first.

  4. Or switch the editor to BBCode mode and paste the BBCode.

Troubleshooting

The post shows the code instead of the image
The forum may have BBCode turned off for your post or your account. Check the post options for "Disable BBCode", or ask a moderator.
The image is broken
Make sure the link inside [img] is the direct link ending in .webp, not the share link.
The image is too wide
Use the width example above if your forum supports it, or crop the image in the editor before uploading.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I post an image on a forum with BBCode?

Upload your image above, copy the BBCode format, and paste it into the post editor. Most editors show the image in the preview.

Does it work on phpBB, XenForo and vBulletin?

Yes. The [img] tag is standard BBCode, and the direct link ends in .webp, which forums that check file extensions accept.

Why is my image not showing in the post?

Check that you copied the direct link or BBCode, not the share link. A share link opens a web page, so it cannot display inside an [img] tag.

Do I need an account to host forum images?

No. You can upload without signing up. A free account lets you find and delete your forum images later.

Can I use password-protected images on a forum?

No. Password-protected images can't be embedded. Upload without a password if the image should appear in a post.
